JOB DESCRIPTION

QUALITY INSPECTOR: Clean Room

Reports to: Inspector Team Leader

Job Summary: The quality clean room inspector is responsible for the inspection of parts produced by the operators to ensure proper quality for the client in a clean room environment.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Receive paperwork and parts from the team leader
  • Visually inspect parts according to the Inspection Master, RMA Handbooks for o-rings and molded products or customer specified requirements
  • Maintain a minimum quota for each part. Quotas are determined based on the part being inspected
  • Maintain clean room environment
  • Utilize clean room equipment including ultra-sonic washer and post-cure oven
  • Place the parts in proper bags and ensure proper packaging based on customer requirements
  • Weigh parts at the end of inspection
  • Correctly place identification/inspection tag on product
  • Place inspection bags that have been identified and tagged in proper location for final sampling for disposition
  • Re-work any and all inspection parts that fail final sampling
  • Ensure supplies are in good supply and order as needed
  • Follow all safety requirements including safety shoes and protective equipment in designated areas
  • Adhere to Company and ISO standards with respect to inspecting parts
  • Where proper attire for clean room

Non-Essential Job Functions:

  • Miscellaneous job duties as assigned by Set-up Technician, Supervisor, and other members of management

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

The ideal candidate for this position:

  • Ability to see and evaluate small to large parts
  • Average to above average computer skills
  • Above average organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Able to follow directions from Team Leader and other members of management
  • Must be capable of regular, predictable attendance
  • Able to work well in a team setting as well as independently
  • Willing to learn new procedures or tasks and meet set deadlines
  • Interpersonal skills to handle all levels of information
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with management staff, employees and general public

 

 

Experience:

  • One year of manufacturing experience or inspection experience helpful
  • Clean Room experience of one or more years is preferred

Physical Job Requirements:

  • Able to sit for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift 20 to 30 pounds
  • Ability to look at all sizes of parts for long periods of times. Utilizing microscopes or magnifying classes as needed

Decision-making Latitude:

  • Provides information related to inspection work to team leader and other members of the management staff

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
